Silver Linings

Welcome to Silver Linings. A low impact class for everyone - if you are a returning exerciser; for someone who wants a lighter workout; for seniors wanting to return or get back to some exercise. Silver Linings offers you that - a safe place to get back to taking care of your health.

Donation based so you pay $0-10. Your choice.

The class will start at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesdays and last 45 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. There is an option to be in or out of the chair as it suits you. There will be times during the class when everyone will be seated doing their exercises and the exercises can be done with or without weights in your hands.

If you are using weights I would suggest no more than 1-3lbs to start. If you don’t have weights and want a resistance factor, you can use a can of soup or a bottle of water in each hand. As you get comfortable with the exercises and the level of intensity you can always invest in some weights then. In the meantime the focus will be on form, the number of reps, building strength and endurance. Bring water, hydration is key.

If you are starting out and/or if you have any limitations I would like you to get clearance from your doctor that it is okay to start an exercise regime.

Low Intensity Interval Training

LIIT is a 50 minute low interval class using hand weight, dynabands and your own body weight. Must be able to get up off the floor as this is part of the routine to keep the heart rate elevated during intervals. The work is weight bearing with short burst approximately 2 minutes long of cardio to elevate the heart rate. Please bring a water bottle - hydration is key . Warm up and cool down are also essential so please stay for the full duration of the class.

BodyFusion Yoga

BodyFusion Yoga offers a yoga class based around the Sun Salutations. Accessible to all who can move up and down from the floor. Modifications using props are offered. The flowing movements build strength physically, the quiet moments in between teach us how to embrace the quiet and to breathe more fully.
